France: Certified Professional Manager Workshop

Program Information

This CMI certified course develops and enhances general and foundational management skills and prepares participants for the MPC exam and certification process. With so many challenges facing managers, course participants gain valuable knowledge, skills and abilities vital to effectively lead and manage in today’s global workplace. Participants will explore core management activities such as planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling and delve into key competencies and management styles they need to have or develop. The course also invites you into the world of coaching and shows how this discipline has become a critical management asset when it comes to motivating others, overcoming barriers and solving business problems. Participants will explore leadership from a business perspective, and learn how to develop leadership capabilities in order to maintain a healthy organization in an increasingly competitive market place.

Program Methodology

The ‘Certified Professional Manager’ course relies on active participation as a core activity when working on business scenarios and case studies to impart critical knowledge and skills about the management function and its core activities. It also utilizes group debriefs and assessments to help participants explore their preferred management and leading styles.

Program Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Recognize the various management functions and the skills associated with each one of them
• Develop key managerial competencies essential to conducting related tasks and accountabilities
• Know when to apply a coaching technique with employees and staff
• Distinguish between the different motivational approaches and how to utilize them

• Discover and apply essential leadership traits and habits critical to success of the professional manager
